    More Than Tuition campaign

    Alex Nguyen, president of the St. Thomas University Students’ Union, said phase one of the More Than Tuition campaign is almost finished. It began with a survey to garner student feedback on, among many topics, how they spend their money aside from tuition. The survey’s results will be transformed into graphics and posted to STUSU’s website.

    Nguyen said for phase two, STUSU will work with student unions across Atlantic Canada, such as Nova Scotia Students to promote the campaign regionally.

    Advocacy Week coming up

    STUSU will call for volunteers for its advocacy week, which takes place on the week of Nov. 14. The volunteers will be trained in topics like equity, diversity and inclusion, mental health, and financial aid. 

    Bake sale

    STUSU is organizing a bake sale to support its finances. The sale takes place on the first floor of Sir James Dunn Hall on Oct. 27 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

    Gerontology Society funding application

    The STU Gerontology Society asked for $20.70 from STUSU to cover its monthly meeting expenses.
