Start your Valentine’s Day on the right foot. This Sunday, Feb. 14th, 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the JB O’Keefe Fitness Centre there will be a special ‘Bring a friend to yoga dance class.’
Instructor Zsuzsanna Szabo-Nyarady, PhD, is a dance and movement educator. Presently she teaches yoga, Pilates and dance classes at the gym.
Her background includes professional training and performance in modern dance and extensive teaching in a variety of settings.
“(It will be) a fun and relaxing class, both dynamic and mindful,” said Szabo-Nyarady
” Yoga dance is a beautiful fusion of yoga and various dance styles, a body-mind-spirit practice. For the Valentine’s Day class we will have great music and lots of playful partner work,” she said.
“Many people are not aware of this unique class that is offered on Sunday afternoons at the gym. Join us this Valentine’s day, discover the positive effects of yoga dance. If you like you can join the the classes for the rest of the term.”
“If you have a yoga mat bring it along. It is not necessary, we do have some mats at the gym. Wear comfortable movement clothes, bare feet, sneakers or dance shoes,” she said.
“Class is accessible to most, previous training is not needed. Those with previous training in either dance or yoga are also most welcome.”
Everyone is invited . The special fee for this event is two participants for $10.
