Photo Essay: STU marks winter solstice with mid-winter celebrations

St. Thomas University held Mid-Winter Celebrations from Feb. 3 to 5, which celebrates the sleep of Mother Earth, when snow covers the land as a blanket of protection and nourishment.

During this time of restoration, organizers honoured the femininity of the winter solstice and celebrated when life slows down.
