    Book launch

    The St. Thomas University Research Office presents the launch of Dr. Tony Tremblay’s new book ‘Fred Cogswell: The Many-Dimensioned Self’.
    Cogswell a famous Canadian poet, is one of New Brunswick’s most accomplished editors, publishers and professors, is the subject of a new digital book.

    The launch will be held in Brian Mulroney Hall, Room 101, at St. Thomas University on Friday, Nov.30, 2012 at 3:30 p.m.

    Conversations From The Longhouse

    Aboriginal Education Initiative Presents – Conversations From The Longhouse Featuring Elder-in-Residence, Miigmagan on “Grandmother Teachings: An Introduction to Wabanaki World View

    This series of speakers will focus on sharing Wabanaki culture with the greater St. Thomas community, including Elder-in-Residence, Miigmagan. Her session is titled “Grandmother Teachings: An Introduction to Wabanaki World View”.

    The series will take place on Nov.28 between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m at the Wabanki Resource Center in JDH room 208. Food will be served. RSVP at [email protected] by Nov. 27.

    STU presents Best Buddies Band Night

    St. Thomas University Best Buddies presents Band Night with Adam Washburn. All of the proceeds from the even are going to STU Best Buddies Chapter. The event will take place at Dolan’s Pub on Nov 27 at 8:00 p.m with $5 cover.

    The Cellar hosts The English Society’s Slam Poetry Contest on November 29 at 8:30 p.m. The three round slam poetry contest will be hosted by professors Matte Robinson and Andrew Titus. Those who signed up are asked to register at 8:00 p.m. The winner will receive a cash prize and the runner-up will receive a menu items and a pitcher donated by The Cellar.

    France Intersession 2013 Information Session

    A presentation on the UNB Spring Session in France (May 6 to 25, 2013) will take place Tuesday, Nov. 27 in Edmund Casey hall in room G12 at 3:00 p.m.

    The session will give students the opportunity to learn about a program that can take students to live in Poitiers and in Paris while taking two courses.

    All are invited to meet the professors and see the slides on the trip.
