    Student survey

STUSU launched its annual student survey last Wednesday. The survey intends to give next year’s students’ representative committee hard data to work with for their budget and plans.

“We’re asking about things like, how they feel about their health plans, how they feel about mental health, how they feel about programs we run, so that next year we can better serve to what the students want, rather than deciding in [meetings] what they get,” said vice-president student life Natasha Glover.

The survey will run until the end of February, and STUSU is asking that all students make some time to have their opinions heard.

It can be found online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/stususervices

    STUMitts charity

STUSU will be allocating $100 from its charitable assistance fund to the STUMitts campaign. The donation is mainly to fund their advertising expenses. STUMitts is a community drive started by students in Dr. Susan Reid’s criminology class to collect mittens for the less fortunate in the Fredericton area.

    STU official language

STU will be adopting Canadian English as it’s official language for next semester, in place of UK Standard. Among other minor changes, this means that “programme” should now be spelled “program.”
