According to the Fredericton Police, the man had a history of coronary issues. CPR was performed on him on last night. Paramedics worked on him in the ambulance and at the hospital, but were unable to resuscitate him.

This information comes after The Aquinian received reports of a car collision at the Aitken Centre Thursday around 9:45 p.m. Eye witnesses said they saw one car hit another and then reverse and hit a truck.

They heard someone calling out for anyone who knew CPR. A 911 call was made and paramedic, police and fire fighters arrived on the scene.

Four cars were involved in the crash. Two were able to drive away shortly after the collision and two had to be towed.

Police say the man in the vehicle was not traveling very fast. No one else was injured at the scene.

Officials have not decided if an autopsy or toxicology report is necessary for the victim.
