The St. Thomas University women’s hockey team played their second exhibition game of the season on Sept. 15 against the McGill University Martlets, losing 2-0.

The Tommies came off a 4-2 defeat the previous night against the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers.

Fifth-year goalie Taylor Cook got the start in net for the Tommies. The Tommies were strong on the penalty kill, successfully killing all six power plays.

“I liked today’s game better than yesterday’s,” said head coach Peter Murphy.

“McGill is a top 10 team so it was a good measuring stick for the girls.”
