St. Thomas University International Students Association (STUISA) are forming a team to participate in Relay for Life 2010 this weekend.
Relay for Life is an annial fundraiser for cancer research. The event will be happening across Canada and at St. Thomas, it will be held on March 27 in James Dunn Hall and the STU courtyard.
Devika Dadhe, a spokesperson for STUISA, says it’s important to take part in the event as a team.
“STUISA wants to help in every way we can to show our support to this cause,” she said.
“There are hundreds who are participating for this cause and we want to do whatever we can to show that we care.”
And STUISA is looking for volunteers to make their team for the event.
“We encourage people to be a part of it,” Dadhe said.
“By participating in this event, we hope to bring awareness to this cause. Every step that will be taken at the rally will bring the Canadian Cancer Society one step closer to achieve their goal of winning the fight against cancer.”
