I’ve come to notice a trend with the first three places I’ve gone to eat. When you walk in, you immediately notice how trendy and well thought-out the atmosphere is. They all serve breakfast and lunch, but have next to no dinner menu. The lunch focus seems to appeal more to them and I’ve wondered why that is. I think having a bar and being able to serve beer and wine is the motivation most places need to have a dinner menu – just a little insight on my part.
What it’s like: This breakfast and lunch deli has two floors. This place is perfect for large gatherings and breakfasts for weddings or ceremonies. You would never feel cramped in this space – that goes a long way in my books.
How it tasted: Their variety is mostly sandwiches, but their breakfast menu really stands out on its own. I would take advantage of its lower prices for a hearty ham and eggs.
How I was treated: I don’t eat at many delis, but from what I could see there was only one person handling the whole place. She was young, but also very capable and had a lot on her plate service-wise. Those are the servers you always remember to tip well.
How much? I can’t see you paying over $10 for a meal here – and I wish to continue that trend.
(High-end restaurant The Blue Door has contacted me, and in a future STU Dines, they’re looking to show me an inexpensive platter they want to offer for close to 12 bucks. Exciting stuff.)
