A twitter page formerly used by St. Thomas University’s journalism department has been taken down.
The defunct twitter account The New Brunswick Beacon had used was posting false information earlier today, with one tweet allegedly stating all classes were canceled next week at St. Thomas.
When reached for comment Philip Lee wrote in an email to The Aquinian regarding the incident.
“I can’t comment on that. I don’t know anything about it.”
The Beacon’s website has been on hiatus since December.
