    Student Health Centre Closes

    The Student Health Centre will be closing at 2:15 the afternoon of Tuesday, Dec. 4 for student presentations. The clinic will open at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday Dec. 5.

    Au Royaume du Chœur de Soulanges

    The Chœur de Soulanges will present its Christmas concert on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 9, at 2:00 p.m. in the Bernard-Poirier Theatre at the Centre Communautaire Sainte-Anne, Fredericton.
    Choir director Marie-Claude Landry will combine traditional holiday favourites with popular songs. The choir will be accompanied by a five-piece band also under the direction of Marie-Claude Landry.
    Tickets are available from the box office of the Centre Communautaire Sainte-Anne, online at http://centre-sainte-anne.interticket.com/search.php or from choir members and are priced $13 for children, students and seniors, and $16 for adults.

    Winter formal

    STU will be having its annual Winter Formal on Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza. The theme is Mad Men. Students, faculty and staff are welcome. Entry to the formal is $5 with a STU ID and a non-perishable food items, $6 without a food idea, and $10 for a non-STU guest.
    The Thomists will be playing. There will be free appetizers, as well as a bar for those of age (with valid government-issued ID).
    There will be a bus service that will take students back to campus and Forest Hill residences at 11:30 for free.

    Jazz concert

    The St.Thomas University Jazz Ensemble (STU jazz) will be performing in Kinsella Auditorium on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
    The jazz ensemble, directed by Don Bosse, will be performing multiple types of music including Latin and jazz rock and will feature vocals by second-year student David Smith.
    Admission is by donation.

    United Way Fundraiser Hockey Game

    Members of St. Thomas University faculty, staff, and alumni will go head-to-head with members of the men’s and women’s STU Tommies hockey teams. The event will start at the Grant-Harvey Centre 4:45 p.m. and run to 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 6.
    The fundraiser is an event for STU’s United Way Campaign. Admission is $5 (general), $2.00 (students), and free admission for children.
    There will be a public skate with the Tommies will follow for STU Tommies fans and their families.
