STUSU looks into code of conduct

The Student Union has been looking into establishing a professors’ code of conduct.

One does not exist right now, despite there being a student code of conduct.

STUSU president Elizabeth Murphy said considering some of the issues that have come up this semester, the university needs a way to be proactive and prevent these issues from happening.

They are looking into other universities’ codes and seeing how they are worded.

    Fall reading day created

VP education Luke Robertson announced at the STUSU meeting that Nov. 10 will be a reading day for STU students starting next semester.

He said there was a lot of push for this because of the evidence showing reading days as beneficial to mental health.

    Dog therapy will happen

The dog therapy days may not be collaborating with UNB this semester, but it will still be provided for STU students.

VP student life Natasha Glover said the strike is causing UNB to consider pushing the therapy days closer to their delayed exams. Glover said this hasn’t affected the STU dog therapy days and they will still happen as planned.
