    As expected, Santiago Chavez will be the next St. Thomas University Students’ Union president as announced by current vice president education Luke Robertson at The Cellar shortly after 6 p.m. on Feb. 25. Chavez ran unopposed and got 94 per cent of the vote.

    Sam Titus also ran unopposed and received 84 per cent of the vote for vice president education.  Ben Graham will be the vice president administration after receiving 43 per cent of the vote and Rebecca Ferris narrowly slipped past her opponent for vice president student life, receiving 52 per cent of the vote.

    Stefen Savoy got 94 per cent of the yes for for at-large representative and Sebastian O’Brien received 71 per cent of the vote for off-campus representative.

    Natalia Gutierrez and Michael Forestell will be student Senators. Shannon Carmont and Michael Farr will be Board of Governors representatives.

    Nicola MacLeod won over the graduating class of 2014 with 55 per cent of the vote for valedictorian going to her. Travis Aten received 88 per cent of the yes vote for grad class president.

    Everyone on the Aquinian Board of Directors received the yes vote. Nathan Delong got 79 per cent of the vote as second-year representative, Brandon Hicks got 89 per cent of the vote as fourth-year representative and Emma Chapple as at-large representative.

    Twenty-seven per cent of students voted in this election.
