John Hoben, a third year international relations major from Saint John, N.B. has been elected as the next St. Thomas University students’ union president.

Hoben defeated Emily Sheen.

Before the election Hoben served as an off-campus representative. During the campaign he said wanted STUSU to remain a member of the Canadian Alliance of Student Associations, and promised to create a digital STUSU bookstore and create a committee to look at reforms to STUSU structure and services.

More to come.
